Dan Levin
Interim CEO
Dan has spent the last 20+ years working at various Silicon Valley technology companies. Most recently, he spent over six years at Intuit, where he held a number of posts including VP of Product Management and Sr. VP and GM of Intuit's QuickBooks business unit. Prior to Intuit, Dan was the VP of Engineering and CTO at ReplayTV, an innovator in the field of interactive television and personal video recorders. Before ReplayTV, Dan co-founded and was the President of Books That Work, a leader in multi-media CD ROM development focused on the home and garden. Dan earned his BA from Princeton University, and spends his time after work flying private planes, keeping his salt-water aquarium healthy, and building ham radio equipment.
Susan Doherty
Founder & Vice President of Marketing
Susan has over 15 years of experience in marketing and product management. She was the VP of Marketing at Enviz (Keynote), and the first marketing executive at eGroups (Yahoo!). At eGroups, she helped grow the company to over 15 million users in less than two years. She also spent several years at Intuit and was the Group Product Manager for QuickBooks driving it to #1 in its category. Susan has a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and Masters degree in Engineering from Duke University. She also has an MBA from Stanford Business School. For fun, Susan enjoys tandem bicycle riding, ballroom dancing and anything related to Hawaii.
Ric Goell
Vice President of Engineering
Ric has over 18 years experience in Engineering. Prior to Picateers, Ric was a Director of Engineering at Oracle working on performance technology for Oracle's Application Server. He was also Director of Web Development at Webvan. His efforts helped Webvan secure a Consumer Reports top 3 ranking among 250 internet shopping sites. Prior to Webvan, Ric worked at Apple on multimedia and video editing products for the consumer division. Ric has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Cal Berkeley and an MBA from San Jose State. For fun Ric enjoys spending time with his four children and coaching youth soccer and basketball.
Erik Stenson
Vice President of Sales
Erik brings over 15 years of sales organization development and management expertise in the start-up arena. He is passionate about bringing value to customers with new technology. With this passion, Erik successfully built and led sales teams at several technology start-up companies including Papilia, BenefitPoint and InsWeb, which led to one company being acquired and an IPO. He also worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in field sales and sales operations, where he re-designed the sales role and consulted on the design and implementation of a CRM solution that resulted in a new $1B division. Erik earned his B.S. in Political Economy of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley. Erik enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, skiing in Tahoe, riding horses, trail running and supporting Cal sports.
Robert A. Hawkins
Director of Portrait Programs
Rob has over 17 years experience in Portrait Photography. Prior to Picateers, Rob was a Territory Manager at Herff Jones where he managed territory operations including photography, sales, marketing, HR & staff development. Before that he owned his own business, Campus Photography, in Alaska where he grew a small territory to over $3M delivering superior customer service together with his staff of 27. Rob has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Alaska, Anchorage. For fun Rob enjoys spending time with his wife of 16 years and their three children. Rob also has a passion for motor sports as a participant and enthusiast, where he closely follows the NHRA and NASCAR series.
Jonathan Barek
Interim Chief Financial Officer
Jonathan has over 14 years of experience in corporate finance, venture capital, investment banking, and project finance. Jonathan was a Principal at Telos Venture Partners, where he was responsible for investments in a variety of software and semiconductor-related start-up companies. Before Telos, Jonathan worked at RWI Ventures and worked in Hong Kong with the Project Finance Group of Bank of America. Jonathan began his career in investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. Jonathan holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also studied Chinese at Beijing University. For fun, Jonathan enjoys traveling with his family and rooting for the New York Mets.
Alan Cabrera
Chief Architect
Alan has over 25 years experience in software development. He was a founding member of Geronimo, the Apache Software Foundation's J2EE server. Prior to Picateers, Alan was Operating Partner and Vice President of Engineering for Simula Labs who successfully incubated two companies, LogicBlaze and Merger; the former being sold to IONA. Before that he was Vice President of Software Development at Reuters, where he managed in-house and offshore development teams delivering financial data to brokerages through web services. Prior to that, Alan served as Vice President at Multex.com, an internet startup providing financial research and data. Alan has Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. For fun, Alan enjoys spending time with his family, working on open source projects and cooking. His specialty is smoked brisket.
