Venkat Mohan, Board Member and General Partner, Norwest Venture Partners
With a focus on software and services, Venkat brings more than 25 years of experience to Norwest Venture Partners. Prior to joining Norwest Venture Partners in 2000, Venkat was President and Chief Operating Officer at OnDisplay, a leading provider of business-to-business infrastructure software and services. He helped take the company public in 1999; it was then acquired by Vignette Corporation for $1.8 billion. Earlier Venkat was Vice President of Global Marketing and e-commerce at General Electric Information Services. He also served as President and COO at Cadis, a software start-up; Executive Vice President of Marketing at VMX, a pioneer in voice processing; and CEO of WIPRO Systems, one of India's largest software and services companies. He also held a variety of marketing and management positions at Hewlett Packard, Young & Rubicam, and McKinsey. Venkat has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Industrial and System Engineering from the University of Florida.
Sanjay Subhedar, Board Member and General Partner, Storm Ventures
Prior to founding Storm Ventures in October 2000, Sanjay was Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at E-TEK Dynamics, Inc. (fiber optic component manufacturer.) Sanjay played a key role in E-TEK's growth from 400 employees to over 5,000 employees in less than three years. Prior to ETEK, Sanjay was the Chief Financial Officer for StrataCom, Inc. from its inception in January 1986 until its merger with Cisco Systems in July 1996. Following StrataCom's merger with Cisco Systems, he served as Vice President of Cisco's WAN business unit. Sanjay also serves on the Board of Trustees of Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Board of Directors of The Indiana University Foundation and the Governing Board of the Indian School of Business. Sanjay earned a B.S. from the University of Bombay, India and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.
Shripati Acharya, Board Member
Shripati has over 10 years experience in marketing and operations. He is currently Director of Product Management for Cisco Systems desktop switching products. Prior to Cisco, Shripati was founder and Vice President of Product Management and Operations for Snapfish, one of the largest online photo sites. While at Snapfish, Shripati was responsible for all operations, vendor integration, customer service, partner relationships and product management. Shripati has an MBA from Harvard University, Master of Science from Stanford University and a BS from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai.
